Non-medical home care in South Carolina

How support adapts to specific situations

Support During Palliative and End-of-Life Care

Some seasons ask more of a family than anyone can carry alone. SteadiCare's support during palliative and end-of-life care is strictly non-medical — hospice and the clinical team manage pain, symptoms, and treatment; that is their calling, and we never step into it. Ours is everything around it: a steady presence at the bedside, gentle personal care, overnights so the family can sleep, and a household kept running — so the time that's left can be spent together, at home, in Greenwood and across South Carolina.

SteadiCare Home Care provides non-medical companion and personal care support alongside — never instead of — clinical, hospice, or palliative providers.

Who it's for

Who this support is for

Families usually find this page in a hard week. If that's you, these are the loads we help carry.

  • Hospice is in place — and the days are still long

Hospice brings nurses, medicine, and equipment — for visits. The other twenty-plus hours a day belong to the family. We help carry them.

  • You promised them home

Staying home to the end is a promise that takes hands to keep — bathing, meals, nights. Help is how the promise holds.

  • The family is running on empty

Grief and exhaustion arrive together. Someone has to sleep, eat, and step outside — or there's nothing left to give.

What a caregiver does

The load, carried quietly

The point of every hour we cover is simple: the family gets to spend this time being family.

  • A calm presence at the bedside — company, a hand held, someone there so they're never alone
  • Gentle personal care — bathing, fresh linens, comfort in the small things
  • Awake overnight coverage, so the family can truly sleep
  • The house kept running — meals, laundry, the door answered
  • Respite blocks for the family — hours to rest, grieve, or just breathe
  • Scheduled around hospice — present between their visits, stepping back when they arrive

So you can just be family

The nights, the bathing, the house — carried by someone steady, while you hold each other.

Clear about our lane

What this support is not

We're a non-medical company, and we say so plainly. Knowing exactly where the line sits is part of keeping your family safe.

  • Not hospice, and never a replacement for it — pain and symptom care belong to the hospice team
  • No nursing or medical treatment of any kind — our work is comfort, presence, and the practical day
  • We schedule around hospice visits and follow the family's lead — their plan is the plan

What it costs

An honest word on price

There's no set rate posted here, because this support is shaped entirely around what the family needs — a few respite hours, awake overnights, or steady daily help — and it changes as the season changes. After a quiet care plan visit you'll have a clear estimate and the ways families pay. No pressure, ever.

How it begins

One call. Three clear steps.

  1. Start with one conversation

Tell our care coordinator what daily life looks like and where support would make a difference.

  2. Build the care plan at home

A no-cost home visit turns routines, needs, and preferences into a clear plan.

  3. Meet the caregiver match

Care begins with a match based on needs, personality, and location — with SteadiCare staying involved.

When you're ready, we're here
